Gambonanza Companion

The Gambonanza Companion is a Twitch Extension for the indie game Gambonanza. It unlocks an exclusive Chaos Mode that lets viewers take part in the streamer's active match by voting on which piece has to move next.

Design

The design of the Gambonanza Twitch extension was created to seamlessly fit the visual identity of the game. The goal was to make the extension feel like a natural extension of the game experience, matching its style, atmosphere, and overall vibe.

By building the extension around official game assets, the Twitch integration stayed visually consistent with the game and felt familiar to both players and viewers.

Chaos Mode

The mode is enabled directly by the player inside the game. Once the streamer activates it, viewers watching on Twitch can vote through the extension, and the winning vote determines the next piece the player must move. The player stays in control of the actual move, but the audience gets to shape the decision space in real time.

Viewer Participation

The result is a hand-and-brain style experience built for livestreaming: Twitch chat collectively acts as the brain by choosing the piece, while the streamer plays the hand and finds the best move from that constraint. It turns a normal Gambonanza match into a shared challenge that gives the audience a direct role without fully taking control away from the player.
